The new Disney hotel in the Ko Olina Resort is involving the community.   The Aulani team is planning a mural and they want it to be made from photos taken by students from the area.  The photos should display the beauty of Hawaii and can come from any aged student, elementary school through high school.  Photos that are submitted will be chosen based on composition and how they reflect on Hawaii’s culture, environment and overall feeling.

The Aulani’s inclusion of local talent will be displayed, incorporating the eye of Oahu’s residents into its decor.  Slated to open some time in 2011 the Aulani, the Disney Resort being built in Ko Olina, is currently a work in progress.
