The rail system will add new growth along its corridor and Kapolei will be no exception.  With change comes resistance and while the proposed railway for Oahu has met its fair share of resistance one thing is clear, the railway will bring change, most of which is for the positive.  Not only will people be able to get places more efficiently on the island of Oahu but there will also be new business opportunities along the way.  Traditionally rail stations have introduced growth to their communities and in a time where growth is difficult the new railway will be a catalyst for new business, stimulating the local economy.  Kapolei will be at one end of the railway and will benefit from it as much as other points along the way.
