Three Possible Spots Have Been Distinguished For Future Commuter Rail Line Hub Locations

The three possible sites are:

  • On North-South Road at the planned Kroc Center, by the proposed East-West Connector Road.
  • Along North-South Road on the east border of the U. of H. at West O’Ahu’s first phase.
  • In the center of the proposed Ho’opili 11,500-unit community project.

A meeting for the public regarding these proposed stops is being held tomorrow (3/18/09) by the city Department of Planning and Permitting from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands Hale Pono’i Building at 91-5420 Kapolei Parkway. The planning for these sites is expected to take up to a year and are extremely important, as they will very likely increase property values and increase development in those areas.
