During this week there are a couple of traffic problems that you may be able to avoid. Single lanes on the H-1 Freeway are scheduled to be closed from 9 p.m. through 4 a.m. each day this week through Friday.  This is at Exit 7 on the westbound Waikele Off-ramp and the eastbound Kunia Road on-ramp. The reason for this inconvenience is the Department of Transportation must repair guardrails along this stretch of highway. Another project that will cause slowing traffic is on the right lane in both directions of the H-2 Freeway between Higgins Road and Leilehua Golf Course Road. This section of road may be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. this week through Friday. The State Department of Transportation must clear 340 trees which run along the east side of a runway at Wheeler Army Airfield, as they are too large.
