Ko Olina Is Still Bustling With Economic Activity: As Tourist Destination And Local Hot Spot

Pink Hibiscus #02Ko Olina has long been a well liked tourist spot, but it is now becoming one of the most popular Hawaiian destinations for the same reasons that locals have always known about. Ko Olina is considered one of the most luxurious resorts, boasting a temperate year-round climate and amenities galore. The championship golf, spas and lap-pool type lagoons are a huge draw for visitors. Formerly known as a playground for Hawaiian royalty, Ko Olina is still experiencing positive economic activity. Ka Makana Ali’i, the one and a half million square foot shopping center which is currently in the works. It will include a 300 room hotel and office space in a location that will bring tourists as well as thousands of jobs for locals. Other smaller shopping centers that contribute to the area’s success are the Laulani Village in Ewa and Kapolei Commons in West Kapolei.
