16th Annual Hawaii Conservation Conference Is Underway This Week Focusing On Coral Reefs

The Hawaii Conservation Alliance heads up this annual conference. Its main purpose is to raise awareness of Hawaii’s native eco-systems through research, training and education. It provides an annual opportunity for resource managers, the scientific community and the general public to share their experiences and ideas on a very broad range of conservation issues affecting Hawaii and the Pacific. This year’s theme is "Island Ecosystems: The Year of the Reef", but all things related to the science and management of terrestrial and marine ecosystems will be explored and discussed.
