Nov. 8 Is World Town Planning Day
University of Hawaii plans to celebrate
Hawaii real estate is no stranger to planning. When one lives on an island, with limited growth opportunities, urban planning is essential. The University of Hawaii-Manoa will be participating in World Town Planning Day activities planned through the Department of Urban and Regional Planning. The Honolulu Advertiser reports on World Town Planning Day:
"World Town Planning Day is celebrated in Hawai’i and throughout the world to recognize the many contributions of planning to the quality of life in our communities," said Karl Kim, chairman of the department.
